Welcome to Wainford Mill House, a recently renovated water mill on the River Waveney. The river is the county line putting Wainford half in Suffolk and half in Norfolk. Just 20 minutes away from the picturesque coastal town of Southwold and 10 minutes from the gateway to the Norfolk Broads, this large riverside residence can cater for 12+ people and is available for year-round holiday lets.
Wainford Mill House is just outside the historic market town of Bungay, Suffolk. Surrounded by rural farmland and streams, the tiny hamlet of Wainford has been put back on the map after a series of recent building renovations.
The large kitchen is kitted out with a wide range cooker, a double butler sink and – most importantly – a long table that can comfortably sit 12 people. The living room leads on from the kitchen creating a 10m long open-plan living space. The games room is separate, located on the front of the house, and is ideal for segregated fun and games – or as an overflow ground floor bedroom.
There are five large bedrooms all with kingsize beds. Two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a third room with a ‘Jack & Jill’ shower room. The sixth room has bunk beds and a separate single bed.
There are two baths, two showers and five W.Cs in total over the three floors.
Walking out through the back door of the house, you are immediately presented with a branch of the River Waveney. Crossing the bridge takes you into Suffolk and to 3/4 of an acre of gardens, meadow and wooded areas. As well as the large outdoor pizza oven, guests have the use of two boats.
